Café Theatralnoe

For more than 10 years, Café “Theatralnoe” has been welcoming guests right in the centre of Gomel, next to a beautiful park. The name “Theatralnoe” is no coincidence: the café is close to two of Gomel’s leading theatres, the Regional Drama Theatre and the independent Youth Theatre.

Café Theatralnoe has two cosy rooms, each with its own interior. The first features a fireplace and a small fountain; the second looks like a unique theatre space, with posters, swords and masks on the walls. You can also admire a collection of headwear from different peoples around the world, which is continually growing.

The café serves dishes from both Belarusian national cuisine and European cuisines. The skilled work of the chefs, who are true masters of their profession, and the high standard of service make for a pleasant experience.

The café is known as a favourite haunt of all the famous cultural figures who perform in Gomel. They are happy to leave their autographs here, and visitors can see them too. Famous Russian actors such as Aleksandr Abdulov, Aleksandr Zbruev, Stanislav Lyubshin and Lia Akhedzhakova, among many others, have dined at the café. Legends of Russian rock, including Boris Grebenshchikov, Andrei Makarevich and Garik Sukachev, have also visited.

It would be impossible to name all the celebrities who have been here. The best thing to do is visit Café Theatralnoe yourself and enjoy its remarkable atmosphere.
