U.S. transnational company Coca-Cola has chosen Bulgaria as the location of filming of its new commercial. The new movie will be filmed in Bulgaria as part of Christmas advertising company of Coca-Cola. One of the main sites for the filming will be the Bulgarian studio Nu Boyana.
As reported by the Bulgarian media, in the filming of the Coca-Cola video will take part only Bulgarian actors. Part of the filming will take place in the territory of Borisov Garden in Sofia, as well as in the Bulgarian television centre.
Music for the new movie was written by musicians of the famous group Train. The theme of the video will be the New York of 30-ies, which will be restored in the major film studio of Sofia.
In the making of advertising for Coca-Cola will take part a number of Bulgarian celebrities. Thus, for the role of Santa Claus is approved the actor Ivan Petrushin. Among the other actors are also well-known TV presenters of Bulgaria. In total, the film crew consists of 30 people.
Bulgaria is one of the countries of Eastern Europe, which film pavilions are actively used by the film companies from Hollywood. The owner of Nu Boyana is Nu Image film company, which is based in California. The company bought the studio in 2005 and managed to shoot here about 60 films. So we can say that Coca-Cola has gone on well-trodden path.
Video, filmed in Bulgaria by Coca-Cola is planned to be shown in more than 90 countries worldwide.
Every year on the eve of the New Year two global giants of beverages - Coca-Cola and Pepsi - are stir up their advertising campaigns. And if Coca-Cola commercial is shot in Bulgaria with Bulgarian actors, Pepsi traditionally uses "heavy artillery". Not so long ago it became known who is to shoot in the next movie. Pepsi invited famous rapper Snoop Dogg.
