Overview

Librazhd is described as an area along the Shkumbin River valley, with hilly and mountainous terrain as well as water resources suitable for nature tourism and exploring the mountains.

Culture and History

The Via Egnatia is still present along the upper Shkumbin through the Librazhd highlands from Miraka to Qukës; significant archaeological and cultural monuments are located along the route. Visitors can hike along the old Via Egnatia route and see preserved fragments of the ancient road.

The Kamara Bridge in Mirakë is designated as a cultural monument and is located directly over the Shkumbin River before Librazhd. It was built in 1715; its stone plaque with a Turkish inscription is kept in the Librazhd Museum.

The Librazhd Museum is described as a first-category museum of exceptional cultural value. It presents local economic life and includes family interiors such as a guest room and a bakery.

The Hermit's Cave of Koshorisht is a first-category cultural monument and contains biblical wall paintings depicting Christ, the Virgin Mary, and other scenes. The Skanderbeg Table in Pishkash offers views of the Domosdova Plain, Qafë Thana, and the Via Egnatia.

Nature

The Shebenik-Jablanica National Park on the Librazhd side extends for more than 30 kilometers from Steblevë to Rrajca and covers 33,929 hectares. The Studna karst field lies at an altitude of approximately 1,100 meters, covers 5.6 square kilometers, is surrounded by mountains and forest, and has tourism value.

The Librazhd Ice Cave is located in the Letmi Plain within Shebenik-Jabllanicë National Park and contains numerous stalactite and stalagmite formations. Lake Shebenik is a glacial lake at an altitude of over 1,200 meters in Shebenik-Jabllanica National Park.

The cave at Bee Rock has scientific, educational, and tourism value; from Librazhd, it can be reached by car as far as Dardhë and then on foot through Polis Rock. Hasan's Cave can be reached via rural roads in the Librazhd area.
