Ali Pasha's Mill in Tepelena is a hydraulic mill from the 18th to 19th century associated with local folk heritage. Ali's Aqueduct in Bënçë dates from the late 18th or early 19th century and preserves traces of Ali Pasha's infrastructure. The Archaeology Pavilion of the museum contains objects from the Bronze Age.

The Tepelena internment camp was established in former Italian barracks during the years 1949 to 1954.

Tepelena rakia is part of the local culinary culture and is made from regional fruits through traditional distillation. Tepelena white cheese is made from cow's or goat's milk and is used for traditional pies and pancakes.
