In Theth, natural landscapes, trails and historic architectural heritage come together. Theth is part of the Albanian Alps National Park, which is designated as a Category II protected area. Theth National Park encompasses the alpine village of Theth. It is characterised by impressive mountain landscapes and is almost 90% covered by extensive beech forests.

Natural Landscapes

Theth National Park is characterised by rich biodiversity. The Thethi River is also one of the landscape features of the national park. Thus, around the village, not only the mountain formations but also the forest and water exist alongside one another as distinct elements of the landscape.

Water and Trails

One of the designated natural monuments is the Grunas Waterfall (Ujëvara e Thethit, also Ujëvara e Grunasit), which is under state protection. The waterfall is about 25 metres high and is located approximately a 30-minute walk from the village of Theth. Grunas Canyon is one of the well-known tourist destinations in Theth. A trail to Theth Canyon begins near the old mill of Theth.

The Blue Eye of Theth (Syri i Kaltër) is an elliptical spring with deep blue hues. The Blue Eye of Theth can be reached by a longer hike through the gorge. Theth has well-maintained trails for hiking and exploration. The road to Theth leads over the Qafa e Tërthores, which lies at an altitude of approximately 2,000 metres.

Historic Centre and Architectural Heritage

Theth is recognised as a protected Historic Centre. Within this centre lies the Banesa e Lulash Kecit (Dukagjin Ethnographic Museum), a Category I cultural monument. The Kulla e Nikoll Zef Koçekut (Lock-in Tower), which is also classified as a Category I cultural monument, is likewise located within Theth's Historic Centre.

The Church of Theth was built in 1892 and restored in 2005. The Lock-in Tower (Kulla e ngujimit) is a monument to historical and moral remembrance. This architectural heritage is complemented by traditional guesthouses and residential buildings in Theth, which preserve the region's characteristic architecture.

Included services, price components, and booking and cancellation conditions may also be listed differently. Reviewing these fields provides a clear basis for making your own decision and makes differences between the offers transparent. Open and compare the offers at your leisure before completing a booking. What matters is how many people the displayed price applies to and which services are included. Also check for any additional costs as well as deadlines and conditions for changes or cancellation. Such a comparison keeps the differences between the offers clear and makes it easier to choose an option that suits your financial and organisational circumstances. Minimum occupancy, included meals, payment dates and the validity of individual price components may also vary significantly from one offer to another.
