Goradil: Hotels and Accommodations

The established public beach “Goradil Public Beach” is located on the Novkhany–Pirshagi road. Admission is free. Facilities include benches, tents, sun loungers, changing rooms, outdoor showers, sports grounds, and parking spaces.

Transport

With its reopening, the Absheron circular railway began full operations. There are underground pedestrian passages at all stops on the Goradil–Novkhani–Sumgait passenger railway line. In addition, all stops on this route have parking facilities for cars and bicycles.

Three road tunnels were planned along the passenger railway line in the direction of Pirshagi–Goradil–Novkhani–Sumgait. The Pirshagi–Goradil–Novkhani–Sumgait passenger railway line was reopened after reconstruction.

The platforms at Goradil stop were upgraded to a modern standard. The building of Goradil railway station was equipped with the necessary infrastructure for users of local rail transport.

History and Culture

Goradil is a medieval village in Absheron. The Goradil Folklore Club was founded in 1953. According to the local explanation of the place name, “Gör-Ədil” means “a place at a mountain pass.”

The Goradil Folklore Club has a performance hall with 70 seats. The club’s Qarmonçalanlar ensemble takes part in cultural events in the district. A paid course is held at the Goradil Folklore Club from November.

A carpet titled “Goradil” is dated to the mid-19th century.
