Townscape and History

The streets of Lahij are paved with stone. Underground, there are ancient sewers made of river stone. The 19th-century Haji-Molla-Hussein bathhouse is still used by residents. Lahij is also home to the ruins of a large caravanserai with 72 rooms.

A hiking trail from Lahij leads to Girdiman Fortress and onwards towards the summit of Niyal. On the way back, visitors can see the waterfalls known as the “7 Waterfalls”.
