Culture and History
The Belarusian Folk Art Museum is located in the Olympic sports complex “Raubichi” in Astrašycki Haradok. It opened on December 12, 1979, is housed in the former Krestogorsky Church dating from 1862, and is a branch of the National Art Museum of Belarus.
The exhibition showcases traditional folk art from the 16th to the beginning of the 20th century, as well as works by contemporary craftspeople. It also features peasant costumes, towels, and decorative textiles from various regions of Belarus. Royal gates dating from the late 18th to the early 20th century are considered examples of highly developed straw weaving. In addition, the Belarusian Folk Art Museum offers workshops on straw weaving, weaving, Motanka dolls, and decorating Pysanka eggs.

The virtual Museum in a Suitcase makes it possible to explore the history of individual artifacts in an interactive format.
The town is home to a Church of the Transfiguration from the late 19th century in the retrospective Russian style. Old icons and ecclesiastical furnishings have been preserved inside; immediately next to it is a wooden Chapel of Saint Righteous Anna. The Belarusian Folk Art Museum can be reached from Minsk by bus or minibus.
