History

Excavations at the “Val” rampart hillfort, which was extensively transformed into a bastion castle at the end of the 16th century, uncovered remains of log buildings dating from the 12th to the 17th century.

The Cathedral of the Transfiguration is located in Zaslawye at 6 Zamkovaya Street.

The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, also known as the Farny Church, is an 18th-century building and an example of Vilnius Baroque.

The Calvinist meeting house of Zaslawye is a 16th-century Renaissance building located in the city center on the grounds of the former castle.
