During open days at Bezmer Air Base, visitors were able to view Su-25 fighter aircraft from close up. Another event in Bezmer is the International Youth Festival “Tundzha – Creativity and Innovation.”

Events

Bezmer hosted the International Youth Festival “Tundzha – Creativity and Innovation” for the eleventh consecutive year. More than 500 young people and over 24 youth teams took part in the sports games. The 2025 edition included 30 teams.

The festival included hands-on art activities for children and guests, including decorating plaster figures, ceramic pots, and wooden discs. The program also featured an art workshop, Chinese paper cutting, and the painting of the community center’s facade by a Mexican artist. Food preparation in the field kitchen of the 22nd Bezmer Air Base was also part of the International Youth Festival.

Culture

The “Zdravets” Pensioners’ Club in Bezmer is working on the restoration, preservation, and marking of the Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God. The “St. Sofia” Church was built in 1934. The Chapel of the Nativity of the Mother of God was established after 2000 with donations.

Regional Classification

In Tundzha Municipality, first-category boating tourism routes are listed on the Tundzha River. These include the Zavoy–Yambol, Tenevo–Konevets, and Konevets–Elhovo routes.

The same municipality also presents wine tastings featuring wines from local wineries as a visitor attraction.

Transport

The Plovdiv–Burgas railway line runs approximately 1.5 kilometers south of Bezmer and has a Bezmer railway station.
