Mineralni Bani: Hotels and Accommodations

The thermal area of Mineralni Bani comprises numerous natural hot springs extending over approximately 500 meters. At Toplika Park, the terrarium presents a permanent exhibition of amphibians and reptiles. An 8-kilometer asphalt road connects Mineralni Bani with Mount Aida, where the Aida tourist hut is located. The hut can also be reached via a marked hiking trail. Regular bus services connect Mineralni Bani with Haskovo, which is 18 kilometers away. From the Sharapani locality, panoramic views extend toward the slopes of the Eastern Rhodopes, the Trakiets Reservoir, and the Haskovo Plain.

The municipality of Mineralni Bani has six eco-trails covering natural and cultural attractions. Along these eco-trails, there are rest areas with benches, pavilions, and outdoor barbecue facilities; many of these rest areas offer panoramic views of the Eastern Rhodopes. Upon request, the municipality can organize guided group visits along eco-trails and to tourist sites and attractions, as well as horseback riding, archery, and sport fishing.

The “Mineralni Bani–Aikaas” eco-trail is 7.75 km long. Aikaas is located on the western slope of the Mechkovets ridge below a natural rock crown; from there, views extend for more than 30 km toward the Rhodopes. The landscape includes deciduous, beech, and oak forests. The forest area is home to numerous bird species, roe deer, red deer, and wild boar. Aikaas is described as accessible to tourists of all ages and suitable for family tourism and recreation.

Culture

The Bogoroditsa Step is a preserved attraction from Roman times carved into natural rock. It is located in the center of Mineralni Bani, five meters from the first mineral spring, and is 2 meters long, 1 meter deep, and 0.75 meters wide.

The rock installations at the Sharapani locality consist of two irregular basins with sloping bottoms and a channel. There are also monuments carved into the rock from the Iron Age, created 2,600 to 2,800 years ago.

The Thracian rock cult complex and the late antique fortress at Hasara can be visited free of charge. A guide is available upon prior request. From Angel Voyvoda, access is via an unpaved road or the Sarnitsa–Pette Chuchura–Angel Voyvoda eco-trail.
