The source of the Belilkata River is located near Breste. The higher southeastern parts of Drenovitsa are forested with oaks, Turkey oaks, linden trees, and hornbeams.

Forty-one caves are recorded in and around Breste. Two sinkhole caves are also recorded above and below Breste: the lower one is a vertical cave, while the upper one is located near the Kamika spring.

The Kamara natural landmark is located immediately next to Breste, southwest of Cherven Bryag. Kamara is a hill divided into blocks by tectonic processes and accessible via an unpaved road.

Reseleshki Kukli is located about 1.5 kilometers northwest of Reselets, on the road toward Breste. Near Breste, Reseleshki Kukli consists of more than 20 rock towers rising more than 40 meters above the riverbed. Reseleshki Kukli has been protected as a natural landmark since 1972.

Culture and History

The Orthodox Church of Saint Dimitri in Breste is described as being in good condition and renovated. The church festival and village fair of Breste take place on Dimitrovden.

A prehistoric settlement from the Chalcolithic period is registered in the area of Breste and is dated to the fifth to fourth millennium BC. Two Thracian burial mounds are also recorded in the archaeological area of Breste. A Late Antique settlement is recorded in the Gurgos locality near Breste.

Roman mosaics are visible in the archaeological area of Breste; two Roman columns of an architectural and decorative nature are also visible there. A Roman strategic road, locally known as Druma, passed through the area of Breste.
