Anyone wishing to book a hotel in Tsar Kaloyan can continue searching for accommodation afterwards. Part of Tsar Kaloyan lies within Rusenski Lom Nature Park, including the Beli-Lom Reserve. The nature park protects the forest ecosystems of Ludogorie and supports diverse bird, mammal, bat and plant life.

Walking through the Beli-Lom Reserve is permitted on designated routes. Access via existing paths in the Beli-Lom area to rocky and botanical features is regulated. Within Tsar Kaloyan are the sites Sali Bey and Oresh Bair. They are used for family outings and picnics; hiking activities also take place there.

Culture and History

The Beli-Lom Valley near Tsar Kaloyan contains three documented rock monasteries: Tsarkvata, Kalugeritsa and Torlashkiyat Manastir. The latter comprises a church carved into the rock and a rock cell with medieval Bulgarian inscriptions and ceramics.

North of Tsar Kaloyan, near the Beli Lom River, are preserved remains of a rock monastery; they are in very poor condition.

The municipality of Tsar Kaloyan has a museum and an ethnographic collection documenting local life. The collection includes paintings and graphic works.
