Culture and history

The Historical Museum of Byala presents events connected with the Russo-Turkish War of 1877–1878. Its park displays original artillery and a section of the pontoon bridge used by Russian troops at Svishtov. The museum is located in the former imperial headquarters used in Byala during the war of 1877–1878.

St. George's Church features an iconostasis carved by Stefan Stoyanov and murals by Professor Apostol Hristov. It was conceived as a temple-memorial-mausoleum between 1910 and 1915 and consecrated in 1924.

The Belen Bridge over the Yantra is 276 metres long and has 13 piers with 14 semicircular arches. It was built between 1865 and 1867 on the orders of Midhat Pasha. Nearby stands a bust monument to Panayot Volov at the site associated with his death.

The Usta Kolyu Ficheto Expo Centre offers a 3D experience. The centre includes a restaurant with a panoramic terrace overlooking the bridge and the river.

The Byala Art Centre includes a wax figure gallery and an ethnographic exhibition of Bulgarian folk costumes from across the country.

Nature and water

The Belenska Gora forest park is located 7 kilometres from Byala in the direction of Popovo. It is a recreational area with diverse vegetation and huts accessible to tourists.

The lower reaches of the Yantra River within Byala Municipality form meanders that are particularly picturesque near Byala. The Yantra Corridor in Byala Municipality offers conditions for angling tourism and water sports.
