Lyuben Karavelovo: Hotels and Accommodation

Bus line AL 54 connects Varna with Lyuben Karavelovo, Voditsa, and Zasmyano via Aksakovo and Izvorsko. Lyuben Karavelovo Dam is located near the hamlet of Veselin, which belongs to Lyuben Karavelovo.

St. Nicholas Church in Lyuben Karavelovo was built in 1880. Before the major repairs in 2009, the church was described as being half-destroyed. Major repairs took place in 2009; on April 11, 2009, it was consecrated by Kirill, Metropolitan of Varna and Velikopreslav.

At the Kayryatsite locality, 1 km northeast of Lyuben Karavelovo, a Roman settlement of the provincial culture with local significance is recorded. Also 1 km northeast of the village, at the Ukuru locality, a Thracian burial-mound necropolis with two mounds and national significance is recorded. A Bulgarian medieval settlement is recorded 0.5 km south of Lyuben Karavelovo, next to the farm grounds. The “Lion” monument commemorates people from Lyuben Karavelovo who died in the Balkan Wars and the First World War.

The Borisovi Horse Base is located on the outskirts of Lyuben Karavelovo. The riding terrain there is varied and gently hilly. The riding trails lead through forests, fields, and meadows, as well as along rivers and dams. They are suitable for training and amateur riding; their average elevation is 150 meters. A tourist package combines St. Nicholas Church, Lyuben Karavelovo Dam, and Borisovi Horse Base.

The Golden Bagpipes bagpipe orchestra was founded at the Prosveshta-1922 Community Centre in Lyuben Karavelovo. It gave its first stage performance at the village festival of Lyuben Karavelovo. At a festival in Zdravec, Avren Municipality, the orchestra won a gold medal.
