Nevsha: Hotels and Accommodation
A 10-kilometre-long eco-trail begins at the central village square in Nevsha. It leads to the Golyamo and Malko Bulo rock formations, is accessible to hikers and cyclists, and features prehistoric artefacts, limestone formations, the remains of an ancient rock monastery, habitats of protected species, signposts, safety railings and rest areas. The Golyamo and Malko Bulo rock formations are located in the gorge of the Provadiyska River above Nevsha railway station.
Nature
The Taushan Tepe protected area lies entirely within the territory of Nevsha and covers 305.26 hectares. Taushan Tepe preserves steppe vegetation that has survived since antiquity. The protected area is also home to dozens of rare plant species listed in Bulgaria’s Red Data Book.

The new eco-trail passes through the Duza locality. The Duza locality regularly attracts paragliders.
Culture and Events
Nevsha hosts the “Nevsha Sings and Dances” festival, which has become established as a celebration of folk art. The earliest evidence of settled habitation in the area of Nevsha dates back to the Early Iron Age. A Roman road leading to Marcianopolis ran through the territory of Nevsha. Medieval monks’ cells are carved into the rocky ridges around Nevsha. Nevsha is also associated with the only medieval sundial discovered in Bulgaria.
