Near Obedinenie lies the excavated Thracian sanctuary of Artemis-Bendis. It is associated with votive tablets depicting Artemis as a huntress on a stag or doe.

About 4.1 kilometres south of Obedinenie, in the Goliamo Usoe locality, lies the late antique fortress of Goliamo Gradishte. It was part of a pair of Roman fortifications built to protect the road from Novae to Nicopolis ad Istrum. The surviving traces include parts of two fortress walls and buried foundations.
