Strazhitsa: Hotels and accommodations
Strazhitsa’s recurring cultural calendar includes the Karaliychev Days with regional competitions, carnivals featuring storybook themes, and conferences, as well as the Folklore Palette and Rockstrazh festivals. Culture
Strazhitsa has an art gallery founded in 1960, housed in a building with seven exhibition rooms. An exhibition from the gallery’s collection, as well as on the municipality’s historical and everyday heritage, is currently on display in the town.
Strazhitsa also hosts the Zhitenata Pitka Festival annually on October 16. It is traditionally held on World Bread and Food Day and is connected with the municipality’s cultural traditions related to bread.

In the wider Strazhitsa area, remnants of a Roman road can be found between Strazhitsa and Novo Gradishte. Some archaeological finds are displayed in Strazhitsa’s exhibition hall.
Kalakoch is located in the wider regional surroundings of Strazhitsa. In the wooded village of Suhoto Dere, a body of water for sport fishing is described at the Oasis complex; it is located about 5 km from Strazhitsa.
Getting there
Strazhitsa railway station is located on the Sofia–Gorna Oryahovitsa–Varna railway line. Rail and road transport are described as complementary options for traveling to the town.
