Kravoder also lies within the Natura 2000 protected area zone BG0000166 Vrachanski Balkan. This zone includes sub-Pannonian steppe grassland habitat.

Culture and History
Kravoder is associated with archaeological remains from the Roman period, including the ruins of a fortress near the settlement. There is also a church in Kravoder.
The Church of St. Nicholas in Kravoder was built in 1909. Above the entrance of a church, a stone relief depicts two dragons facing each other, with long, curved tails.
The ancient Vorovo Minore fortress, also called TrÅnchovo Kale, is located near Kravoder, approximately 1.13 km southwest of the center of Kravoder. It stands on a naturally fortified terrace bounded on three sides by the Botunya River. The fortress is accessible only from the south; the visible remains are sparse.
Six Thracian burial mounds have been recorded southwest of Kravoder. One of them contained a burial with iron weapons. Several coin finds have also been discovered in the area around Kravoder.
Customs and Events
Since 2012, a summer water festival has been organized near the MÅtnishki Monastery on the initiative of the Kravoder community center.
