Culture and History

At the entrance to Krapets is a complex comprising a church, a monument, the community cultural center and a ceremonial hall. Krapets is also home to an Orthodox church, a rectangular building with a nave, a dome, an apse and a vestibule. It was consecrated on November 9, 1996, by Kalinik, the Metropolitan of Vratsa. In August and September 1997, young students from the Academy of Art painted the frescoes.

The Krapets war memorial was built in 1922 through donations from local families. It is shaped like a four-meter-high truncated pyramid and bears a limestone cross at its apex. The names of the fallen, the donors and the builders are inscribed on its four sides.

The pieces are then covered with beaten eggs, mayonnaise and carbonated mineral water.
