Nature

Mjesec is the highest peak of Moslavačka gora on its Čazma side. Moslavačka gora offers opportunities for easy hikes and cycling tours.

Medjame is an almost two-kilometre-long elevated wooden walkway through semi-wet terrain and is located about a ten-minute walk from the centre of Čazma. The area is an important habitat for wetland birds and amphibians. Information boards provide information about local plant and animal species.

The elevated wooden nature interpretation trail in Vustje ends at a platform for observing birds and other animals. The platform for observing a stork's nest offers views across the Natura 2000 area.

The themed Dolina Česme hiking trail runs for 12.5 kilometres from Vustje to Sišćane, follows the Česma River, and lies entirely within a Natura 2000 area. Along the trail there are benches, bicycle racks, and information boards with educational content about the local nature.

Culture and history

The parish church of St. Mary Magdalene was built in the second quarter of the 13th century and was originally a Dominican monastery church. The building is a Romanesque-Gothic structure. The church's western rose window has a diameter of more than six metres.

Gradina is a medieval fortification site and is protected as immovable cultural heritage of Croatia.

The Gradski muzej Čazma is a general museum in the Čazma Cultural Centre. It comprises more than 16,500 objects in 22 collections. Its medieval archaeological collection contains finds from the medieval fortress, from the monastery next to the parish church of St. Mary Magdalene, and from the former site of the Church of the Holy Spirit.

Water

Čazma has a public biological bathing facility that uses biofiltration instead of chlorine. The facility is used for swimming, recreation, and relaxation; events are also held there.
