Culture

Stari grad Barilović dates back to the 15th century. The site is also associated with an earlier settlement dating back to the Eneolithic and Late Bronze Age. Stari grad Barilović is registered as a cultural monument and is open to all visitors.

Nature

The gorges of the Korana and Mrežnica rivers feature travertine barriers, waterfalls and clear water. This water is used for canoeing, boating, swimming and fishing.

The Vražića Cave is also located in Barilović. It is an unregulated, difficult-to-access cave that can be visited with experienced cavers.

Events

The fifth Quattro River Rally took place in Karlovac County from 27 to 29 March 2026. This resulted in race-related road closures on roads in Barilović. The 2026 Quattro River Rally was part of the International Championship of Croatia and the Croatian Championship.
