In Bilo-Kosica stands the Chapel of Saint Vincent de Paul, a chapel of the Cetingrad parish.
Culture and Faith
The Chapel of Saint Vincent de Paul in Bilo was built by Vinko Lončarić and Vinko Božičević as a thanksgiving for surviving the Homeland War.
Next to the chapel, a large wooden shelter was built to provide protection from the rain, for celebrating Mass, and for eating.
Traditional culture in the Cetingrad area includes tamburica music, sung couplets, multipart singing, and dance music. Samica tamburicas are made in Batnoga.
History
Cetin Fortress is a historic fortification with origins dating back to the Frankopan family in the 14th century. It was later captured and altered under Ottoman rule; the associated archaeological sites include Mala Crkvina.
The remains within Cetin include the Ičizar citadel, the Drenđula tower, and Turkish walls.
The later form of Cetin was an Austrian fortified barracks surrounded by Turkish walls and bastions.
