History and Culture

The ruins of the medieval fortified town of Plasi stand on Plaška Glava above Plaški. The surviving elements include a central round tower and parts of the defensive walls; the ruins are located at an altitude of 635 metres above sea level.

The Cathedral of the Presentation of the Holy Mother of God is approximately 260 years old and was once the seat of the Eparchy of Upper Karlovac. The former Učiona school building, where Nikola Tesla's father and uncle attended school, is listed as protected cultural heritage.
