Tounj: Hotels and Accommodations

One of Tounj’s defining natural features is the Tounjčica River. When planning a trip, in addition to such local facts, there is also the desire to book a hotel in Tounj. The river rises from a large cave beneath the karst hill of Krpela; its source and the surrounding cave landscape are therefore among the defining natural elements of the area.

Nature

Along the Tounjčica, a municipal project for an educational trail is planned in several phases: The route is intended to run from the Tounj Bridge to the river’s source and downstream to a mill. A rest area at the bridge has already been built. The planned educational trail is intended for informative walks focusing on the local natural environment and cultural heritage.

Culture

Tounj’s heritage also includes the Church of St. John the Baptist. It was built in 1897 based on a design attributed to the architect Hermann Bollé.

Bogdanov Vrh is located in the nearby area of Tounj. Brezovica, Pečenica, and Radošić are located in the surrounding area of Tounj. In the broader regional surroundings are Otmić Grad, Sveti Ðorđe, and Sveti Nikola.
