Mala Erpenja: Hotels and Accommodation

Mala Erpenja consists of scattered hamlets along the valley of the Erpenjščica, a tributary of the Horvatska. Those wishing to book a hotel in Mala Erpenja can then continue searching for accommodation. The Mala Erpenja Trek takes place in Mala Erpenja; it offers three trail and trekking distances: Jagodica bobica at 6–8 km, Šumska jagoda at 10–12 km, and Divlja jagoda at 20–25 km.

Trails

Described as a traditional trail run, the Erpenjska Pisanica Trail 2026 is part of the Zagorje Running League and used the Društveni dom at Mala Erpenja 139A as the location for registration, the start, and the finish. The marked Dubrovčan–Ravnice–Velika Erpenja–Tuheljske Toplice trail passes through Mala Erpenja on its way back toward Tuheljske Toplice and takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.

The marked “Round Tuheljske Toplice” circular trail follows the ridge between Mala Erpenja and Kuharov jarak on the return route.

Culture

The Majka Božja Bistrička Chapel stands in the center of Mala Erpenja. It was built in 1915 as a vow by the Šoštarić brothers after their return from the Galician Front.

Local

The Mala Erpenja Trek 2026 program included children's races over 300 and 500 meters, as well as creative workshops, games, inflatable play equipment, and face painting. The event also offered a tasting of fruit brandies from Vinarija Petrovečki. The Etno sekcija Kubure Male Erpenje prepared homemade cakes for this edition. A total of 595 entries were recorded for the 14th edition.
