An amphibian crossing is located in Štrucljevo alongside the county road between Sveti Križ Začretje and Zabok. A passage beneath the road guides frogs to a nearby lake; seasonal protection work was carried out there. Increased numbers of frogs were observed at the amphibian crossing during rainy migration periods. When migration activity occurred, nature conservation staff carried frogs across the road towards a nearby lake.

The floodplain meadows of Štrucljevo between the railway line and the Krapinčica River are home to Fritillaria meleagris, which is recorded there. The species, also known as kockavica and močvarni tulipan, is listed as IUCN VU.

Culture

Štrucljevo has a wayside shrine known as Poklonac Sv. Ivan Nepomuka. The parish used the Poklonac Sv. Ivana Nepomuka as a village prayer station during its May devotion on 20 May 2025.

Routes

A hiking route from Bedekovčina to Zabok passes through Štrucljevo. The recreational ZaZaKr Trail connects Zabok, Sveti Križ Začretje and Krapina. In the area of Sveti Križ Začretje, a paved section of the ZaZaKr Trail reached an intersection connecting Štrucljevo, Brezova and Mirkovec. The deanery Stations of the Cross from Zabok to Sveti Križ Začretje passed through Štrucljevo in 2019.
