Gušće: Hotels and Accommodations

Geographical location

The wider regional surroundings of Gušće include Leskovac, Razvalina Jelen Grad, Mitrovića Kosa, Cepeliš, Gora Humka, Sveta Gospa, Sveta Ana and Sveti Duh.

Nature

The route initially follows a forest gravel road for 5.5 km along the embankment beside the Lonja stream, before continuing through Stružec towards Osekovo. The surface of the entire route consists of asphalt and gravel.

For visitors travelling by car to Lonjsko polje from the direction of Zagreb or Slavonski Brod, the official directions lead via Potok, Stružec, Sisak, Lonja, Preloščica, Lukavec and Gušće to Čigoč, along the left bank of the Sava.

Culture

Gušće is home to the Church of Saint Nicholas, which is protected as an individual monument. The single-nave building was erected in the early 19th century and features elements of Baroque Historicism and Classicism, including a columned portico and a tympanum.
