Stari grad is a fortress and defensive monument from the 16th century, associated with the Battle of Sisak of 1593, and stands at the confluence of the Kupa and Sava rivers.

Roman remains have been preserved in situ in the Siscia Archaeological Park. These include a southwestern fortification wall with a tower dating from the late 2nd or early 3rd century, as well as the remains of a horreum, i.e. a granary, built in the early 4th century.

The sculpture park in Caprag, Sisak, originated from the Željezara Sisak artists’ colony and is listed in the Croatian Register of Cultural Goods.

Due to the damage caused by the earthquake of December 29, 2020, the fortress is closed to visitors.
