The parish church of Christ the King in Domaslovec is a local sacred cultural heritage site. It was built from 1992 to 1998 and consecrated on November 24, 2002. The altar contains relics of Blessed Alojzije Stepinac.

During the now-traditional vigil before All Saints’ Day in the Parish Church of Christ the King in Domaslovec, an all-night Eucharistic adoration began. It was accompanied by music from 3 to 4 a.m. by young people from the Parish of Domaslovec.

Nature

Near Domaslovec lies Grgosova Cave in Otruševec. Because of its rich stalactite and stalagmite formations, it is designated a protected geomorphological natural monument. The same cave lies near Domaslovec; it is approximately 30 meters long, 19 meters deep, and has two chambers.

Geographical setting

Near Domaslovec, the ferry in Medsave takes excursionists, cyclists, and motorists across the Sava and shortens the route between Samobor and Zaprešić by 17 kilometers.

Near Domaslovec lie the ruins of the old town of Samobor, whose construction was ordered by the Czech King Otokar in 1268.

Cuisine

Bermet and Muštarda have been produced in the Samobor municipal area for centuries. Bermet is made from red wine as well as selected fruits and herbs; the production of Muštarda is also traditional.

In the wider Samobor area, the Samoborska vinska cesta runs from Kladje via Molvice, Klake, Cerje, and Mala Jazbina through Rude to Slani Dol. Along the route there are numerous wine cellars and excursion destinations offering white and red wine, Bermet, as well as rakija and liqueurs.
