Nature
The “Fragmenti” route leads from Sesvete via Paruževina, Jesenovec and Glavnica Gornja to Kuzelin. It is 19.6 km long and is one of the selected multifunctional walks, routes and trails. Those wishing to book a hotel in Jesenovec can continue their accommodation search afterwards.
The meadows with woodland in the valley of a stream in Jesenovec are designated as a valuable landscape in the spatial plan of the City of Zagreb.
Food and Drink
Kurija Žunec in Jesenovec offers wines, dishes from the Prigorje region, its own natural fruit juices, honey and recreational horse riding. OPG Žunec was one of the seven original destinations on the City of Zagreb Wine Road, which opened on 6 November 2009.
The Brglez family winery is located on the slopes of Zagrebačka gora and offers a selection of high-quality wines. Along the City of Zagreb Wine Road, wines can be tasted in seven cellars, including Škrlet, Graševina, Kraljevina, Sivi pino, Charoday, Portugizac and Crni pino.
Culture
Kurija Žunec is a cultural property. It was restored in a traditional style using natural materials, as were the manor houses built 150 years ago.
Jesenovec is listed among the settlements mentioned in written records from the 15th and 16th centuries.
