Pifari: Hotels and accommodations

Pifari is part of the official cycle route 283. The 37-kilometre loop leads from Kanfanar via Žminj and Antončići to Pifari and back. It is paved throughout, classified as easy, and uses local roads with very little traffic; standard bicycles are sufficient. Geographical setting

Dvigrad Castle is located in the vicinity of Pifari. The surrounding area of Pifari includes Soardo-Bembo Palace as well as Veliki Breg, Standar and Trba. Sveti Andrija and Sveti Mihovil are also located in the surrounding area. Škaraba is located in the wider regional surroundings of Pifari.

Culture

The Žminj Calvary, locally called “Krvarija”, is located in the vicinity of Pifari. The stone devotional monument from 1728 consists of three crosses as well as statues of Mary and Mary Magdalene. The Žminj area includes a Baroque parish church dedicated to St. Michael, three chapels decorated with frescoes, and the Church of St. Bartul, which is associated with the traditional folk festival Bartulja.
