Markovići: Hotels and accommodations

The Vižinada cycle route (101) runs along a paved road through Markovići. It is 24 kilometers long and connected to several other cycle routes.

Nature

After a 1.1-kilometer macadam section, the cycle route reaches the Vrbanovica viewpoint.

Near Markovići, the Staza pogleda trail near Crklada and Grubići passes through fertile fields, vineyards, and olive groves. Along the way, there are views of gently rolling hills planted with grapevines and young olive groves.

Near Markovići is the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Božje Polje. It contains late Gothic frescoes from the workshop of John of Kastav.

Also near Markovići, the Church of Saint Mary in Božje Polje is a pilgrimage site for pilgrims from all over Istria on the Feast of the Assumption.

A two-day folk festival is celebrated on the old town square in Vižinada on the Feast of the Assumption.
