Culture

Peroj preserves a distinct Montenegrin heritage. It is reflected in the Orthodox faith tradition, language and customs, Cyrillic inscriptions on gravestones, church hymns, and the local Peroj dialect. Those wishing to book a hotel in Peroj can continue their accommodation search afterwards.

Peroj’s summer program includes celebrations, culinary evenings, and small sports tournaments. The Peroj Festival combines exhibitions, tournaments, folklore performances, and an evening concert; it traditionally takes place on the third Saturday in July.

There are more than 120 kilometers of marked cycling routes in the Vodnjan area. These include routes providing access to attractions that cannot be reached by car and offering views of dry-stone walls, vineyards, and olive groves.
