The Jelenski sajam is traditionally held in Dražice as a meeting place for local producers, craftspeople and visitors from the region. It takes place every second Saturday of the month and showcases homemade products as well as offerings from family farms and home-based crafts.

The palente i sira festival has been held in Dražice for years and features traditional cuisine. Traditionally, it culminates in overturning the polenta on Trg mlikarice.

Culture and History

A monument to the mlikarice stands on Trg mlikarice; it was erected in 2007 and restored in 2018. The Grobniške mlikarice walked around 30 kilometres a day and carried heavy loads.

The event Feral ki j’ pušćal sinjal is organised on Trg mlikarice in Dražice; residents and visitors traditionally gather there in mid-July. It includes exhibitions, stalls, music and dancing.

The blacksmith Damir Marčelja demonstrates historical blacksmithing to visitors.

Nature

The Nebeski labirinti in Dražice consist of nine stone structures next to the Sušica. Visitors can walk barefoot through the Nebeski labirinti.

In the wider regional area around Dražice, the Planinarski dom Hahlić stands at just under 1,100 metres on the southern slope of Obruč. It overlooks the Bay of Rijeka, the Kvarner Islands, Grobnišćina and Učka.
