For a different kind of walking, the 12-kilometer trekking route from Mišnjak to Lopar is described as suitable for Škraping, or walking over rocky terrain. The Premuziceva-1 geological trail differs in that it follows the main ridge and passes through the hidden Fruga Valley. As there are no rest stops or drinking water along the trail, you should bear both limitations in mind when planning.

Cyclists also have a route of their own: the Rab MTB 1 mountain biking route leads to Dundo Forest, follows the southern Premužić Trail and continues to the Kalifront Peninsula. The forests of Kalifront are suitable for leisurely walks; the hilly areas and trails there are considered easy and are also suitable for older visitors. If you are looking for a more relaxed stroll, Komrčar Park has trails over wooded hills that descend toward Rab’s beaches.

Kamenjak reaches a summit elevation of 408 meters. This limestone mountain massif is the highest and largest on Rab and protects the island from cold northerly influences. In Rab’s Old Town, the ancient city walls and four church towers give the historic cityscape its distinctive outline.

The island’s history can also be traced through individual buildings. The Monastery of St. Euphemia in Kampor was founded in 1444; part of the monastery was converted into the Ethnographic Museum of the town of Rab. The Church of St. Peter in Supetarska Draga was built in 1059 and is widely considered one of the best-preserved Romanesque buildings on the Adriatic coast. Its Gothic bell tower is considered one of the oldest on the Croatian Adriatic coast.
