Kijevo offers marked hiking trails with difficulty levels from 1 to 5. During trekking, the routes lead over hills, karst fields, and through small settlements to clearings. The area lists Dinara, Kozjak, and Gnjat as locations for rock climbing. The springs of the Cetina offer both recreational and competitive fishing.

Culture and history
The Villa Rustica near KrstaÄe is a Late Antique villa dating from the 3rd to 4th century. The Old Croatian necropolis at the source of the Cetina was established in the 9th to 10th century and remained in use until the 15th to 16th century. A total of 1,162 graves were examined there.
More than 700 stećci have been preserved in the municipality around the Church of St. Spas. The remains of Glavaš Fortress stand on the slopes of the Dinara above the hamlet of Glavaš, located near Kijevo. The Church of Saint Michael in Kijevo was built on Glavica and consecrated in 1709.
As part of Kijevsko lito, literary evenings with Croatian writers, poets, and musicians have continued to take place in the hamlet of Bajani since July 2014. The Kijevski književni susreti are a cultural event that brings residents and visitors of Kijevo together at several locations.
