History and Culture

The Church of Saint Mary of Špiljana, now called Gospe Stomorije, was built in 1189. A fragment of an early Christian relief depicting two dolphins and a cross is set into its apse wall.

Brce developed at the village entrance, where a brotherhood house with a clock was built in 1775. The 16th-century Church of St. Roko contains a statue of Saint Roko created by Marin Studin.

Nostalgija was the 17th edition of the Kaštela Days of Tradition, held in Brce and on the shore of Kaštel Novi.
