The parish church of Sv. Jeronima, built in 1745 by the Franciscan Nikola Gojak, was consecrated on October 24, 1756, and became the new center of the settlement. The Church of Sv. Mihovila was first mentioned in 1621; the old cemetery church of Sv. Mihovila dates from the 17th century.

Noć Velikog Brda is a traditional folk festival held on the sports field below the Church of Sv. Jeronima. The feast day of Saint Jerome in Veliko Brdo is celebrated on September 30.
