The Baroque summer residence De Ponte in Mali Lukoran has been preserved in its original form. In the park behind the summer residence, the Croatian poet Petar Preradović courted Countess Paola De Ponte and, on that occasion, composed the well-known Croatian wake-up song “Zora puca, bit će dana”.
The Trpinjin cultural and historical complex is located on Trpinjin Hill, an estate featuring traditional dry-stone wall architecture, parts of which are over 2,000 years old and date back to Roman times. According to tradition, the Gothic church and the building below Zmorašnji Lukoran were constructed by Egyptian monks in the 14th century.
Trails
The cultural and historical Staza Lukoran trail is marked with signposts and hiking markers. Martina's Path is unpaved and built entirely using traditional dry-stone techniques from local stone; the oldest sections of the trail at the upper end date back to antiquity.
Cycling
The Skriveno blago cycling route is 33.9 kilometers long. It passes the only football stadium on the island of Ugljan and branches off toward Tala Bay in Mali Lukoran.
Geographical Location
The island of Ugljan can be reached by private boats or by boat or ferry operated by the Croatian shipping company Jadrolinija.
