Culture

The Baroque country house Lantana in Sutomišćica dates back to the 17th century and includes an extensive park and a chapel. It displays all the characteristics of Venetian Baroque architecture. Until the fall of Venice in 1797, the ceremonial transfer of office of the Venetian doge for Dalmatia and Albania was held at Lantana country house.

The Church of Sveti Grgur in Sutomišćica is first mentioned on January 10, 1398. The parish church of Saint Euphemia is mentioned for 1349; a new church is mentioned for 1679. The medallions kept in the parish church of Saint Euphemia are a cultural asset of the Republic of Croatia.

The Chapel of Sveti Grgur at Cape Sveti Grgur was restored in the 15th century. The remains of a monastery complex and the Sveti Mihovil fortress are located on Mount Vela Glava.

Nature

Mount Vela Glava offers panoramic views of the city of Zadar and the Zadar Archipelago. There are numerous developed cycling paths on the island of Ugljan, leading through centuries-old olive groves and cultivated fields.

Coast

Plaža Sutomišćica is a pebble beach in the middle of the village and has a shallow entry into the sea. It features sun loungers, a shower, a changing room, and natural shade.

Sutomiška vala is a concrete beach at Cape Sveti Grgur at the far end of Sutomišćica and has a well-developed access to the sea. The rear part of Cape Sveti Grgur is rocky and surrounded by cypress trees.
