Pećina Buta lies in a gorge between two elevations; its cave chamber is 25 metres deep. During brief investigations in 1957, fragments of Roman pottery and flint scrapers, possibly dating from the Neolithic period, were found in and in front of Pećina Buta. According to local residents, the cave served as shelter in bad weather for wealthier shepherds from Bukovica; local shepherds also used it as protection from the rain until the 1960s.

Pećinska gomila is an Iron Age hillfort. Vukašinov krug is also an Iron Age hillfort.
