Mezihorská: Hotels and accommodations

Mezihorská was established at the end of the 14th century. In 1525, the settlement was listed in the Schlik Loket land register as one of the villages owing feudal obligations to Loket Castle. Following the gradual decline and eventual complete departure of the permanently resident population, Mezihorská was transformed into a resort.

The Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes in Mezihorská was restored in 2000–2001 and reconsecrated on 27 October 2001. It is located opposite a former prayer bell.

In 1654, a mill with a saw is mentioned in Mezihorská (Kührberg); however, it is uncertain whether this referred to Potoční mlýn or the Lochmühle farther downstream. The former Potoční mlýn mill, also known as the Bachmühle, lies on the northern edge of Mezihorská on the Chodovský potok. The Lochmühle was originally used to grind bark into tanning agents for leather tanning and was later converted into a grain mill.

The section of the Chodovský potok managed by Lesy ČR, s.p. extends from the road bridge in the Mezihorská settlement to the spring south of the municipality of Jindřichovice in the Ore Mountains. A section just under three kilometres long between the Mezihorská settlement and this spring was revitalized to protect valuable natural peat bogs.

Almost the entire revitalized section runs through areas that were formerly peat bogs, now consisting of wet spruce and alder forests with admixtures of larch and fir, as well as deciduous trees such as birch, lime, oak, beech and sycamore maple. The cadastral area of Mezihorská encompasses a mosaic of habitats in the Chodovský potok valley, including a body of water, forest stands, scattered greenery and permanent grassland.

The Chodník Chodovský potok is an 813 m long path established in 2015, with sections made of wooden planks, gravel and forest track. Halfway along the route, there is a rest area at a bridge over the Chodovský potok. For the Chodník Chodovský potok, you can park a car in a small parking area at the bus stop in the Mezihorská forests.
