Culture

Jindřichovice Castle has been restored and currently serves as the district archive. It was built in 1672 by Jan Hartvík Nostitz as a replacement for an older Šlik fortress. The complex of St. Martin's Church in Jindřichovice includes the church, a cemetery, inner and outer enclosing walls, and three gates.

The Jindřichovice Mausoleum is still maintained to this day and is considered the largest cemetery for victims of the First World War in the Czech Republic.

Nature

The Rotavské varhany natural monument near Rotava is an exposed profile of a basalt massif with typically weathered hexagonal columns. In Jindřichovice, the Kernberg basalt quarry can be found as a natural attraction for tourists.

The mountains Komáří vrch, Díže, Čertova hora, and Rudenský Špičák are located around Jindřichovice. The nearby Tatrovice Reservoir is a recreational area covering 26 hectares that is visited in summer by locals and visitors from elsewhere.

Routes

The 3 km hiking route “Za historií do Jindřichovic” begins at St. Martin's Church and follows the blue-marked trail via the statue of Saint John of Nepomuk to the castle. Regional cycling route no. 2044 also runs through Jindřichovice on its route between Sokolov and Carlsfeld.
