Culture and History
Nearby Starý Loket also takes you far back into history: the site includes a Mesolithic settlement and an early medieval hillfort. The acropolis and the outer bailey were protected by a timber-and-earth fortification with a stone-faced front; it survives as an earthwork of varying heights.
In Tašovice, a new community chapel was built in 1836 to replace a demolished chapel. A small brick bell tower was also built at the chapel in 1931.
Nature and Views
The Tašovice cadastral area is home to Dub u Nešporů, a protected individual tree. The pedunculate oak (Quercus robur) is estimated to be 150 years old (2006) and 22 m tall (2014).
At Starý Loket, views of the Ohře Valley are accessible from several locations. Both cycling approaches to Hradiště Starý Loket and to the viewpoint over the Ohře Valley feature a significant uphill section.
Paths and Cycle Route
Hradiště Tašovice can be reached from the western end of Slovanská Street via an asphalt path towards Stahlův dvůr. The archaeological site is also a stop on the educational trail. The cycle path construction project in question is part of interregional cycle route No. 6, Euregio Egrensis.
Other places: Cihelny, Olšová Vrata, Doubi.
