Kunětice: Hotels and accommodations

Kunětice lies on the banks of the Labe. The village is home to the Church of St. Bartholomew, a protected cultural monument and a High Gothic church from the 14th century.

Culture and history

After a fire in 1794, the Church of St. Bartholomew was restored in the Neo-Gothic style in 1897; the tower was also added during this restoration. Its sacristy preserves an original small Romanesque sacred structure, and remnants of 14th-century Gothic wall paintings have also survived. A statue of Saint John of Nepomuk stands in a niche in the wall of the rectory courtyard facing the church building.

The military bridge over the Labe in Kunětice is a technical monument. It was built in 1947 with funds from UNRRA and rendered the former ferry unnecessary.
