The Hradec u Dobřejovic hillfort is located in Dobřejovice above the right bank of the Vltava. Three parallel stone ramparts, up to 1 metre high, enclose an area of approximately 1 hectare. The two outer ramparts are additionally separated from each other by a ditch.

Nature

The Libochovka area features species-rich beech forests, oak-hornbeam forests and ravine forests in a canyon-like valley of the Libochovka stream. Populations of rare and endangered plant and animal species occur there, including Dicranum viride, the critically endangered species Limoniscus violaceus, Osmoderma eremita and Rhysodes sulcatus, as well as the endangered species Lucanus cervus – in each case including their habitats.

Skopoje Hill [Hosín-Dobřejovice] lies in the vicinity of Dobřejovice. The wider regional surroundings of Dobřejovice include Mužský Mountain, Skalka Mountain and Zdoba Mountain.

Culture

The chapel in Dobřejovice was built between 1870 and 1871 and is dedicated to Saint John of Nepomuk. It was consecrated on 29 May 1871 on the Feast of Pentecost.

The Dobřejovice–U Obrázku archaeological site contains ten burial mounds that have not been more precisely identified.

Getting Around

Dobřejovice is served by a GW BUS connection. The former school building in Dobřejovice dates from 1901; it is now partly occupied by an inn and partly by a library.

The Hradec u Dobřejovic site is inaccessible because of the new Poněšice game preserve.
