Drachov: Hotels and Accommodation

The Dráchovské tůně nature reserve protects oxbow lakes and cut-off side channels of the Lužnice, floodplain pools, floodplain meadows and wetland vegetation in depressions formed by former river channels. Dráchovské louky protects oxbow lakes and cut-off side channels of the Lužnice, floodplain pools, floodplain meadows and habitats of endangered species.

Populations of the thick-shelled river mussel (Union crassus), weather loach (Misgurnus fossilis) and Eurasian otter (Lutra lutra) and their habitats occur in Dráchovské louky.

On the Lužnice in Dráchov, there is a bathing spot on the right bank of the river, 200 metres from the new bridge. The water depth there is approximately 30 centimetres to 1 metre; the spot is considered suitable for children.

Dráchov is associated with an archaeological site, a parish village documented in the 14th century and a fortress. The Gothic Church of Saint Wenceslas is first mentioned in 1353; it contains gravestones of the Lords of Dráchov and other former owners of the municipality, including the Wratislaw von Mitrowitz family. It also has three Gothic bells, one of which bears a dragon relief.

A pond called Návětří can still be found near the former fortress. Above the farmyard stands an old barn bearing the designation "former fortress of the Lords of Dráchov".
