Pametice U Pisku: Hotels and Accommodation

Approximately in the middle of the village stands the Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk with a possible fortification. It stands on an island in a small pond, which may be a former moat.

Culture and History

The Pamětice memorial to the victims of the First World War was created in 1921 by the stonemason František Ircka. It includes a medallion depicting the suffering Christ, associated with photographs of the fallen. The Pamětice Volunteer Fire Brigade SDH was founded in 1896 as a joint fire brigade for Pamětice, Drhovle, and Dubí Hora.

In the wider regional surroundings of Pamětice are Hrad Zvíkov Castle, the historic site “Lety u Písku. Memorial to the Holocaust of Roma and Sinti in Bohemia,” and the Church of Svatý Jan.

Landscape

The Radomysl Mediumwave Radio Mast facility is considered a ruin and is located in the vicinity of Pamětice. The Chlum mountain is also located nearby.

In the immediate vicinity of Pamětice are the Na Homoli hill [Drhovle], the Hájič hill [Drhovle-Pamětice], and the Na Koši hill [Předotice-Kožlí].

Traditions and Activities

During the Staročeské máje in Pamětice, the traditional-costume procession visits the homes of young couples. After this procession, the celebration moved to Hospůdka Na Skalce.

The area around Drhovle is suitable for hiking and cycling.
