Cervena: Hotels and Accommodations
The Church of St. Bartholomew was relocated outside the flood zone in 1960 because of its historical and artistic value. In ÄŚervená nad Vltavou, it is the last reminder of the original settlement that was flooded by the waters of the OrlĂk Reservoir. The rib vault of the presbytery is possibly the oldest of its kind in Bohemia.
Culture and History
The railway bridge near Červená is a 253-meter-long steel structure over the Vltava between Červená nad Vltavou and Vlastec. It was built without scaffolding using the balanced cantilever method. The bridge is not suitable for crossing and is intended exclusively for railway traffic. From Červená nad Vltavou railway station, it can be reached via a 2.5-kilometer-long red-marked hiking trail.

The “Along the HrejkovickĂ˝ Stream to the OrlĂk Reservoir” route ends at ÄŚervená nad Vltavou railway station. The “Along the OrlĂk Reservoir to Mount Tábor” route begins in ÄŚervená nad Vltavou. On the red-marked hiking trail, it follows the JetÄ›tickĂ˝ Stream to the PodolskĂ˝ Bridge and offers an opportunity to swim at Strouhy.
